Introduction: Why Create a Branded Email?

Creating an email address that matches your domain name (e.g., tech@yourministry.org) helps build trust and professionalism for your organization. You can create multiple email accounts for different teams or staff members, such as a dedicated address for the A/V Ministry or the Finance Team.

This guide shows you how to create the account and how to access your mailbox immediately after creation.

Step 1: Access the Email Accounts Manager

First, you need to log in to your hosting control panel (cPanel).

  1. Log in to your Client Area:

  2. Launch cPanel:

    • Click on your active hosting package, and then click Login to cPanel.

  3. Find Email Accounts:

    • Once in cPanel, look for the Email section (you can also use the search bar at the top).

    • Click on the Email Accounts icon.

Step 2: Create Your New Email Account

Inside the Email Accounts manager, you can see all existing email addresses and create new ones.

  1. Click Create:

    • Click the blue + Create button.

  2. Set the Username:

    • In the "Username" field, enter the name you want before the @ symbol (e.g., type info to create info@yourdomain.com).

  3. Set the Password:

    • Crucially: Create a secure, unique password. You can use the Password Generator to ensure maximum security. Write this password down immediately, as it is required to check this specific mailbox.

  4. Set Storage Space (Optional):

    • Under "Storage Space," you can choose a size limit for the mailbox. For most ministry roles, leaving it at the Default or setting it to Unlimited is fine, unless you need to manage disk space tightly.

  5. Finalize:

    • Click the + Create button again at the bottom of the page.

Your new, professional email account is now active!

Step 3: Access Your New Mailbox (Webmail)

Webmail allows you to check your email directly through a browser without needing to set up an email app like Outlook or Gmail.

  1. Find the Account:

    • Back on the main Email Accounts screen in cPanel, find the new email address you just created in the list.

  2. Check Email:

    • In the row for your new email, click the Check Email button.

  3. Choose a Client:

    • A new window will open. You may be asked to choose a Webmail application (like Roundcube or Horde). Select one and click Open.

You are now in your mailbox! You can start sending and receiving emails immediately.
